Filling the site with content.

All options for filling content can be seen on demo.smartcj.com, moreover - all options can be combined within a single category for example.

I remind you of basic concepts: embedded gallery - content that is displayed as part of your site (movies on tubes) and external content - this is content that is displayed separately, as an example FHG.

Basic FHG option - this is of course normal FHG filling (in demo FHG). This is external content. The point of using the tube engine for regular FHGs - the convenience of organizing multi-niche sites and archive pages. In this option in rotation - import URLs are added as usual.

Sponsor FLV Embed - this is an option to create embedded movies from sponsor content. This content will be displayed as part of your site. Embedded movies roughly consist of 2 parts - player and the movie itself. From this it follows that there are 2 options for how a sponsor can give you embedded content.

1. Sponsor gives you the entire embed code, which usually starts with <object etc. This is the option when the sponsor plays the movie with their player. In their player they can do anything they want, for example add additional advertising etc. such galleries are added as usual, only in the pattern additionally select the embed code field, where this embed code is inserted.
2. Sponsor gives URL of the movie (usually flv) and URL of the thumbnail. This is content that can be played with your player, and accordingly put your advertising there. This option gives of course more opportunities. A basic free player is included in the script (located in scj/tube/player). So you need to form embed code (again: in the first option the embed code is given to you by the sponsor). Added: in the pattern FLV URL, as well as additional field Flv Preview Thumb - this is the URL to the thumbnail, this thumbnail is shown before the movie itself. For such galleries the template content_custom_flv is automatically substituted in which you can see 2 tags FLV_URL & FLV_THUMB_URL.

Then options based on Custom Galleries. The script can form its own galleries from FHG for example and display them as embedded content or as external galleries. For this in import there is a section Create Custom Galleries. Custom Galleries can be created separately, but we'll consider them immediately in combination with the tube engine.

So what happens: we give the script the URL of FHG, the script creates Custom Gallery from it, and then automatically makes thumbnails from it and adds these thumbnails to the rotation.

Embed Custom Galleries - presented 3 options (FHG Embed Hotlink, FHG Embed Half and FHG All Hosted), which reflect what we will host and what the sponsor will. Note The settings described below reflect how the content will be created, thumbnails for rotation will still be created in accordance with the main settings above in the same form.

Create Custom Galleries - yes

Grab Options - whether we host content ourselves or it remains with the sponsor. Hotlink everything - we hotlink all thumbnails, i.e. everything remains on the sponsor's host, a nice option in terms of traffic consumption, but the sponsor may have hotlink prohibited. Plus in this option the thumbnails in the gallery will be exactly as they are in the sponsor's gallery and accordingly may not fit your design. Make Thumbs\Hotlink big - the script creates thumbnails for the gallery using Crop Profile, but links to large pictures (or movies) link to the sponsor's host. And last Dl All - download all content of the gallery to ourselves, create thumbnails according to the crop profile.

Default Gallery Template - this is the template if the gallery will be external, this will be said below.

Embed This Gallery ? - Yes since we're now considering the creation of embedded galleries.

Embed Template ? template in which the embedded gallery will be shown. Those by default in the tube engine content is displayed by the content_page template, but you can create custom templates in CMS Pages, there's already an example pic_template. (generally without additional templates you can't do, because the default content_page is configured for showing movies, and in our example we're making an embedded gallery from a FHG picture.) For now the script can't convert movie galleries on flash.

Gallery Keywords here are presented exclusively for categorization of created galleries, this may come in handy later.

So let's sum up. At the top select normal rotation settings, and in Create Custom Galleries - gallery creation settings. As you probably already understood - FHG Embed Hotlink, FHG Embed Half and FHG All Hosted are named depending on the content hotlink.

The convenience of custom templates is that you can flexibly configure it, for example make a skim on the pictures of the gallery itself (example FHG Skimmed). One more time: embedded galleries are galleries that will be shown as part of your site, in a template of your choice, which can be edited in Rotation - CMS Pages. Default links look about like http://your_domain/gallery/some_desc/kjjh3289_ETO_MD5_of_gallery/index.html

The same content that we showed as embedded can be presented as an external gallery. Technically it's also on the same domain, BUT presented as a URL like http://your_domain/scj/gallery/gall.php?md5=……

This part is presented in the demo as FHG 2 Ext Custom.

In List Thumbs under each thumbnail 2-4 links. Edit Thumb - thumbnail editing. Edit Item - gallery editing in ROTATION, i.e. how it's presented in the tube engine, descriptions, groups etc. List Thumbs - list of thumbnails of this gallery, if the gallery has more than 1 thumbnail - you will see them all. Gallery Edit - if this thumbnail was made based on Custom Gallery then you can edit the gallery, an interesting point here is that the content can be sorted, i.e. manually change the order of thumbnails in the gallery.
