Hi, I am new to smartcj and am finding obvious things really confusing so far.

I installed scj twice. First in a custom directory domain/archive. Then realised all template files are not in root. So I tried installing again, but not specifying a directory - but it automatically created domain/scj

Is it no possible just to install to domain/ ?

Secondly, I can see in domain/directory/tube/ are the tube templates. I read somewhere on the wiki to copy index common and another thing to domain/ but nothing was showing.

Although an advanced user of other scripts running some decent sized tubes I am finding the lack of useful documentation difficult.

Is there not a step by step guide somewhere to help new users like me learn and get their first scj site setup and running?

1. templates are in the DB so it doesn't make sense to "install the script in root folder".

2. wiki says

Copy (!!! copy, not move, do not delete source) to the root of your domain index.php and common.php from scj/cgi

Not /scj/tube


If you can not find something in wiki - just lemme know.

1. I have checked that Rotation/Main/Rotation = Yes

2. Rotation - Groups : Create groups (categories, niches) for your site, minimum 1, maximum - unlimited.

I am confused what to do here. There is Name, Custom Name, Description, Group meta keywords, Group custom var1, Group custom var2, Group custom var3, Group Custom Phrases...

How would someone for example create the following categories?

Amateur
Anal
Asian
Babe

3. I have downloaded (using binary ftp) index.php and common.php from the script_install_directory/cgi and uploaded (again using binary ftp) to domain/

4. I have copied your apache .htaccess rewrite code and modified directory name from /scj/ to what I have used for example /custom/ and uploaded .htaccess to domain/

5. VERY important step I missed earlier, Settings/CJ Pages update with path for example /home/user/domain/scj/tube/index.php

So now I can see tube template when I visit domain

But still confused on how to add catagories.

Also, New Rotation Content Wiki is full of broken images. If those images worked it would be so much easier to understand.

I have tried to login to demo admin area to try and learn settings. But I guess that has been disabled for security reasons.

In Rotation/Group Settings I have added groups like this:

Name: Amateur
Custom Name*: Amateur
Description: Amateur and homemade porn videos
Group meta keywords*: amateur, homemade, amateur wife, amateur mature
Filter Keywords: amateur|homemade|amateur anal|amateur wife|amateur threesome|amateur lesbian|mature|wife|mom|milf

But I notice, if I use the Test Against Keywords button for amateur - it says "These keywords do not trigged on this test string". Could you tell me the correct syntax to use for Filter Keywords?

If you use 2word keywords you should use "" like

homemade|"amateur anal"

Thanks, I will adjust my filter keywords accordingly.
