how to make single-group tube?

Hello,

I try to create a simple single-group slave where only one or two of the master groups is activated:
index_page directly showing all videos from this/these group(s) (with working pagination); clicks on videothumbs go to content_page with embedded videos

I asked this question before, but I couldn't find the right template-code you roughly suggested

Starting from your standard install templates, can you give me the exact code-changes in index template (and its sub_template if necessary) to make this change?

Is it when there are no category thumbs on index page ?

Yes: index page immediately showing videos with their standard title, length and date.
Like surfer arrives directly on a category content_page.

I managed to make it partially work with Index_page change:

But strangely it only shows 72 thumbs from the 2000 videos in these activated groups.

That's right.
The thing is that some of those 2000 thumbs are in disabled groups as well.

Do you see what you need if you open a page like /scj/tube/?group_id-....&force_template=index ?

No, /scj/tube/?group_id-whateverid&force_template=index gives same 72 same images.

But yes that's it: When I activate all groups on this slave I get all videos with 1000's pagination.

I assume I can work around this issue now by mass-designating the videos from these wanted-only groups to the wanted group exclusively on each niche slaves' DB, thanks for your enlightment

Just updated to v51 2 weeks ago.

The thing is that lets say you have groups 'straight' and 'gay'
+ teen mature and so on
you want to create a site with just teens , so it should be 'straight' only, ie thumbs with 'teen' + 'gay' groups should not be on the list.
that's why we completely exclude disabled groups.

Yes, I understand that there is a choice to make to include/exclude videos that have also other group tags on them, certainly when gay and straight are concerned.

Like I said I can easily work around this include/exclude question by going to "List Thumbs" on the niche slave, mass-edit all videos in the wanted groups and assign them to these activated group(s) only, so they don't have disabled group tags on them.

With such an easy solution (fine-tuning include/exclude this way each slave seperetaly) I won't even suggest to make a new option on your V1.52.

Note that when you make changes to it galleries even at a slave site - all the changes are save in the main DB ie those thumbs will be in the same groups at master site and other slaves as well.
