Always the same groups on main index - v51

Hello,

in v51 category thumbs are initially (when no click stats exist) sorted by name (even if order=clicks).

As click stats are gathered, the category thumbs start getting re-ordered by clicks.

If the main index has, let' say, 60 category thumbs and the db contains 200 groups:

the initial 60 groups in alphabetic order will always be on the main index and re-ordered by clicks.

How can I insert & test new groups on the main index like it happens with regular thumbs on the category pages?

Hi, it should add some untested thumbs from time to time to test all of them.

For example groups starting with A to D made it to the index page initially.
They started to get re-ordered, category thumbs have changed etc. but the same groups remain on the main page since they are the only ones getting clicks.

Is there an "order=random" or "new" (besides clicks & alphabet) or so for categories?

No, as it should show other categories as well from time to time.

If you check other category thumbs and all of them have 0 shows - send me admin plz , i'll check it.

Checked and seems other groups are shown as well as:

number of groups with shows > number of groups listed on main index

Seems it starts testing them in alphabetic order (not random) and that would explain why they are all still starting with A-D.

I'll keep an eye on it and let you know if there are any problems, thanks.
