Master and slave sites on different servers

Is it possible to have Master and slave sites on different servers?

Will it use all the load on the master server or load both on master and slave servers?

Yes.

It will load mysql at master and httpd at slave.

let's say i have one master site and 50 slave sites. Is it possible to divide the mysql load on multiple servers? Is it a better idea to have let's say 10 master sites and 40 slave sites?

Yes, you can setup master sites at different server.
If you want the same DB at different servers - read about mysql replication for example.
