Updated To 50 Error On Homepage

Just updated to 50 and site isn't loading. Getting this error

Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Unknown MySQL server host 'd' (2) in /scj/includes/db_modules/mysql.php on line 11
Can not connect to database server.

Open w\o cache.

That now shows the homepage, but I'm getting the same 2 errors as this guy

Homepage not showing category thumbs/names and just showing letter "A".

Read that thread above, is there a solution to this?

Create category thumbs or wait 20 minutes.

Category thumbs have already previously been created.

Its been more than 20 minutes, actually several hours now and category thumbs still aren't showing. I've cleared cache several times.

What do you think could be the issue?

Do you see category thumbs in 'list thumbs' ?

Anything else you can suggest to look into? Its been around 12 hours and category thumbs are still not showing after updating to v50.

Delete cache manually.
