Link to master db from slave not working update 50

Hi. I'm trying to connect a new slave site to my master db. I've done this in previous versions ok but in the latest update 50 after i've saved the DB/server details clicking the "Link to this db" button on the Rotation >> master/slave page does nothing. It never tries to connect to the db at all so nothing happens and the link can't be made. In older versions you would click that button and it would show it attempting to connect and if it was successful or not.

Do you have master at the same server ?

Yes master is at the same server. The issue is nothing happens when I click the "Link to this db" button. I've tried in multiple browsers with no luck.
