Its there a way to clean cache faster?

There is one master DB, all sites link to this master DB.

On Network Site A, you go to list thumbs in admin, and you will see the thumbs are all updated with correct URL.

I just checked another site, clicked a thumb that should have gone to New Domain, and it still point to Old Domain again. This is 24+ hours after update to main database.

What do you mean Domain of Thumb? Where thumb server is hosted? Or where thumb DB is hosted?

The IMAGE of the thumb is just fine. I am talking about the gallery URL associated with thumb.

Gallery url is cached for 5 days i believe.
Actually it should be cached for longer time as script doesn't expect that you will change URL in DB. Why would you do this ?

Because the sites that hosted the galleries/videos moved to a new domain and project.

Is there way to clean out that cache without blowing things up?

If it is just matter of 5-7 days this is fine. If it is matter of never updating, that is problem for me.

I dont see that folder.

Do you suggest Deleting cache in SPECIALS area? It says never to do this with a site with high traffic.

Yes, you should not do that if you have a lot of traffic.
You can also you "cache cookie" if you need it now.

So if i do not have file cache, and i cant use the Clean Cache button in admin


how do i remove old cache?

as i understand it, cache cookie only good for me, not rest of visitors to site.

hi, i am cleaning out cache.

i notice scj cache doesnt seem to be rotated. i want to add snip of code that will get rid of cache older than X hours/days.

Does 24 hours seem reasonable? Or would longer time be better for SCJ script?
