Different sponsors provide URLs in different formats: RSS (many use fields not described by the standard), XML, dumps. And if RSS could be added by specifying them in groups, then XML and dumps could only be added manually. This is inconvenient for automatic content population. Now import sets exist for this.

The advantage of import sets is that you can automatically, at specified intervals (Period), import galleries from almost any source, while performing any actions with them as with manual import, for example creating custom galleries, adding to multiple categories, determining the creation of additional thumbs, etc.

How this works: Rotation - Import Sets, click “Add New” - an Import form opens with one exception - at the top is a form for entering a URL. You need to enter the URL of a dump or rss, the re-grab time (24 = every 24 hours) and a delimiter. The delimiter is relevant for dumps, and is usually the “|” character. Click Test - the script tries to determine fields in the content offered by the URL. For undefined fields you need to either Skip or manually select what is in this field. Next we select import parameters as in the familiar import form. Click Save. Done.

Hints

• In RSS, the thumb often comes not as a direct URL to the thumb, but as a tag <img src=….>. For this field you should select not Thumb, but Parse Thumb.
• Delimiter - this is the separation of fields, in dumps this is usually | , in RSS it's usually item, but there can also be video. Figuring this out is not difficult: you need to open the URL in a browser and look at the page code, 99% of the time you'll immediately figure out what to write.

Note that there are 2 types of import set: add and deletion. Accordingly, URLs found in the add type - are added to the database, deletion - are deleted from the database.
