Comments to main page

Hello, what is the command to display the total comments on index page? I tried with <!--TOTAL_COMMENTS--> but is not showing on main page, only on gallery page.

right, theres no such tag
Why do you want to count it?
I mean I can add it, but it's gonna add one more DB query, server load while nobody cares about it
you can just add "137828 comments" if you need something there
