RewriteRule question

I use standard SmartCJ install and templates, and I 'd like to change the standard URLs from:

http://domain.com/category/4/Amateur/ctr/1/
http://domain.com/gallery/video-title/index.html
to
http://domain.com/Amateur/
http://domain.com/video-title/

Can you please give me the exact changes in standard .htaccess file that must be made?

Furthermore, which exact changes must be made to the templates?

what is a video title will be "Amateur" ? links are going to be the same

what you have a folder

http://domain.com/somefolder/ and it will treat it as a video title or category name?

Well, you can create rewrites for it but you'll have to add a some conditions to avoid these situations.
Sorry, I don't ready-made rewrites for it but there are a lot of documentation for on mod_rewrite, you can easily google it.

With templates it's easy

if you have /category/<!--CATEGORY_NAME-->/ctr/1/
you can change it to
/<!--CATEGORY_NAME-->/

and you'll get links as you want. Just add rewrites and that's it.
