Hi,

I had my server admin setting up redis as cache engine today.

I am still getting this warning:
You do not use any modern cache engine - This is not an error. Everything will work, but default cache engine is filecache and it's a bit slow compared to Couchbase or Redis. It's a good idea to use them to improve your server's performance.


Is it not installed correctly or do I miss some settings?

At Settings - Others I only find cookie engine settings. But no cache engine.
What is recommended to set here?

Did you add redis to config ?

I am having some serious server issues after upgrading from 1.50 to 1.51 today.

I had the server admin first installing redis and than he upgraded scj scripts.
My server loads are like 10 times higher now and everything is really slow.

If I am using <!--CATEGORY_NAME--> on my content_list template it put out All for all categories also.

Any idea what could be wrong?

Oh I forgot to mention that we also converted the mysql databases to innodb.
mysql is really busy now. so that might be the reason for the high load and slow sites.

how to fix it?

Is the mysql so busy because of the database conversion to innodb?

I am still seeing crazy loads, maybe the script is just doing its stuff now on the database and it will settle down when it is done?

Is the DB conversion finished ?

All I know is that the admin converted the rot tables.

I am still seeing very high loads 7.91, 8.32, 8.7
and mysql is still busy.

How long is this supposed to take?

LA 7-8 is not that high

How busy is mysql ?
