Is it true that all / some SmartCj sites got penalized by Google a while ago. I don't have any sites that are working right now, so there is no way to check.

I've looked at this site, so far:

It looks like the SmartCj sites started getting banned / penalized by Google in February / March 2014...

Both are not indexed by Google (anymore), and the traffic for both of them has dropped to 0 at around the same time (SEMrush.com).

Does anybody know any other high traffic / high Alexa rank SmartCj sites?

Do you believe that google ranks sites by a folder name ?

If it does (what a nice way for a high tech company) - why there are still so many smartcj site indexed by google ? It's so easy for google to filter by a keyword, they could do it instantly.

And google writes that a site was banned for pure spam - 100% non-unique content, 1000s of sites are the same , the only difference is a header - still ppl think that google doesn't tell the truth, they think that in fact content is nothing for google - it judges by a folder name.

Is it real ?

I am not sure if it is the folder name that caused it. This is just a topic that I've found on the Internet. Anyway, I've heard people talking about it, there is a mention of this on this forum, and the two sites above are showing that there has been something going on with the search engine traffic from Google (to them) too...

Also google deindexed a lot of sites with custom scripts - did you consider it for your theory of folder names ?

Again, this is not my theory. This is just what I've found on the Internet.

I got url to BravoLatina.com (it is BravoMediaGroup.com) from you, so maybe possibly you have access to more sites.

What do you mean by "I have access" ?

You can easily find sites that are indexed

and there are those sites whose owners did not edit\rename or changed templates in any way.

I've found around 13,500 SmartCj sites through NerdyData.com. 435 indexed SmartCj websites would be not a lot (if they are showing them all / not showing all of them for whatever reason, I would need to look into that too). If it is only 435, why the number of indexed websites would be so low?

I am assuming that all versions of SmartCj script (paid and free) include "scj/scjwebmaster.php", and most of the time (if not blocked by robots.txt) it gets indexed by Google...

I'm not sure how common it is these days, usually ppl remove signup forms as they don't accept unknown traders.

Sorted by Alexa rank, from the busiest sites on the top, to the ones with less incoming traffic on the bottom.

So, since there is probably a lot of sites that don't show in Google.com (just like the two that I've mentioned before), I would assume that most of the SmartCj sites are not included / visible in Google / banned. How much would you say this can be? 90% - 95%?

I run the following query in the NerdyData.com:

Like, I've mentioned above it is showing 11,677 results (separate domains). The website is paid, but I was able to get access to the first 20 results. I checked all domains in google.com with "site:domain-name.com" and none of them are showing as index / appear in their results.

I would assume that 40%+ SmartCj sites is banned from Google.com, as of today, and like I said, it looks like it has started in February / March of 2014.

I would say, that there should be a way to get around it, as far as your software. This is a very important thing that needs to be corrected, I think. If all sources of traffic for all SmartCj websites were combined into, lets say, an Excel spreadsheet, Google.com was most likely #1 source of traffic for them.

No Google traffic - a lot of financial losses for people running SCJ sites. A lot...
