Im tring to make a templte using if statement but i fail

I used this syntax:
<!--IF CATEGORY_NAME == CHINESE--><s><img src="/img/ch.png" alt="chinese" /></s><!--END IF-->
But i get error in template, unexpected "}" .....

Can you point me to the right direction please?

Sorry we don't have such tag

You can use regular php statements

<?php
if ('<!--CATEGORY_NAME-->' == 'CHINESE') {
do something
}
?>
