Hello,
right now, I am using dynamic list of categories as text links. Template looks like this:

Code: Select all

<ul><category order=alphabet num=1-40 min_gallery_count=5000><li><a href="/popular/<!--CATEGORY_CUSTOM_NAME-->/1.html?<!--THUMB_LINK-->"><!--CATEGORY_CUSTOM_VAR1--></a></li></category></ul>
I would like to hardcode all categories on site so the code in template wold look like this:

Code: Select all

<li>
<a href="/popular/amateur/1.html?<!--THUMB_LINK-->">Amateurs</a>
</li>
Is this the correct way of THUMB_LINK usage?

If you hardcode category links it won't be rotated = you don't need thumb_link

But i have thumb categories that are rotated, so if anyone clicks on text categories i want thumbs to be rotated by this as well

Well, you can output categories as

<categories ...>
some JS code like

var category_name[<!--CATEGORY_NAME-->] = THUMB_LINK
</categories>

and later add those codes to the end of proper links ..

I just asked you if the code in example is OK to use or not. If not, why?

If you have only

<a href="/popular/cat1/1.html?<!--THUMB_LINK-->">cat1</a>
<a href="/popular/cat2/1.html?<!--THUMB_LINK-->">cat2</a>

script can not replace tag with proper numbers caz it has to parse somehow your links , find out category name and so on
