Too slow even on a new site and less traffic site. I try delete in ftp, very slow with tons of file, other ways to do it?

Habitually i delete the data folder by ssh, but if you have access to the CJ admin console you can go in the menu Rotation/Special and clean all cache

hey rick, same here, I delete from SSH too, but still too long??? I have like 70 copies to delete. any other faster way?

I do this,

rm -rf foldername

if the delete process start i think you have no choice to wait the end of this process. I know it's long...

You have change your database and you want to restart from the begin?

if you want you can use the pipe | in your command to delete folder, it can be more faster but i think it will create more HD load on your server if you got 70 website ...

ie if you are in your public_html and you do the cmd # rm -rf domain1.com/folder | rm -rf domain2.com/folder | rm -rf domain3.com/folder | rm -rf domain4.com/folder | rm -rf domain5.com/folder

Why do you want to delete cache folder ?

I setup two servers for Smart CJ,

Server A host the core base Smartcj script
Server B host all the mysql slaves and master.

Its much faster and and split resource, but now I need to delete all folders on old server.

Yes, it's faster to do in SSH

good luck,i hope you don't have to migrate your 70 site.. and change dns. I got 8 site for the moment and i have change my server 5 time the last year, now i got my vps and i'm really happy to have now the stability.

share or vps wont be a solution when u grow ur network. I have a powerful box and still crash with 70 copies of smart cj, make sure u line up the crons and optimize the database to the max. but i am sure once u have more traffic and wanna build more sites u will move to dedicated.

You can get dedicated server for 40\mo
Why mess with shared ?
