Установил, подключил:
Порт 9306, к нему даже можно внучную приконектится, и там видны эти индексы
mysql -h0 -P9306
> show tables;

Что пошло не так ?)

сами индексы сфинкса работают, их файлы в /scj/sphinx/ есть,Warning, you have following CORE errors (You have to fix it and delete those messages from Home - Script Messages after that)
Core error: Mysql error 1046: No database selected (DESCRIBE `example_index`)
ERROR :: Can not connect to Sphinx (Mysql error:: 1046 (No database selected) (db_sphinx) in query DESCRIBE `example_index`. (example.net) )
