I have found a solution.

I changed the gallery templates to link directly to image, not to HTML page displaying image, and the import works fine. ( I was importing from other SCJ sites i run with custom galleries).

This topic can be closed as far as I am concerned.

If at imported gallery thumbs are not linked right to big images you can try 'deep fetch' in import
