What does it matter the exact numbers?
Here is the sample:

Galleries
% of test places on page = 70
Test positions start = 11
Test positions end = 100

Categories
% of test places on page = 50
Test positions start = 16
Test positions end = 50

We have a lot of settings already so to make sure we really need this one lets test it

you can add to config.php

$config['category_thumb_rotation']['new_thumbs_shows'] = ...;
$config['category_thumb_rotation']['test_positions_start'] = ...;
$config['category_thumb_rotation']['new_place_percent'] = ...;


and see if it makes any difference.
If it does - we'll add it to main settings.

PS run update first

Yes, it is working fine, just what we need.

Just noticed that not all categories are included in the rotation. I've made a lot of tests and many categories didn't participate at the rotation at all.
Any idea what could be the reason?

Probably those that are participating didnt get enough views yet ?

What exactly is new_thumbs_shows?

Test period - we show a thumb at test location until it gets X shows

But there is something I'm not getting. According to the Google Analytics we got +130K traffic to our site for the last 3-4 days. In the stats for category thumbs the most viewed has just 909 views. And this is the thumb with best ctr, so I'm confident it was showed every session. Is this something related to the cache? Does it count shows and clicks when the page is cached? Any idea?
