the cache folder is ridiculously huge, what if something needs to move server? Its going to endless time to transfer??? Oh my.

48,000 files... this is crazy

I have moved 6GB of thumbs zipped and unzipped in the new server to save my DB lol never never again thats really long to transfer

There's no need to transfer cache files. Script can create it again at new server.

So when i have done it, it was because i was kicked out from a hosthing by reason (too much node) and to put the site rapiddly online on the newserver.

It can take long time to crop 6gb of thumbs again

is there anyway to stop creating new cache files? or less cache?

Somewhat related --- how long does cache last for?

I updated URL to some thumbs directly in DB.

If I set cookie, the thumbs go to new URL.

I did this almsot 24 hours ago - seems like the 900 second cache time i set in settings should have expired.

Will it eventually expire the old cache? Or do I need to take some action.

at what url ?
