"Duration" parsing

Post by orion-m »

Half of my vids have no "duration" info (it was not parsed as some sponsors do not include such info). Is there any feature in SmartCJ to recheck all active videos for length and setup the "duration" info for each clip automatically? If not, would it be possible to add such an option?

Thx

It goes like
URL|Title|Tags|Duration|Category|Thumb
Something like that

Sorry, I don't understand

URL stands for the video URL (I don't use embed codes)
Duration stands for the length of the video clip
Now in some cases sponsors do not include "duration" info in the dump file
And it shows "0" instead of the original movie length

Now my question is:
Is there any feature in SmartCJ to check videos for duration?

I don't use embeded videos, so I link directly to sponsors (like xhamster, etc.).
They provide list of their videos

Example:
https://www.tube8.com/fetish/kinky-fant ... tish|Kinky fantasy of hooker bound|bdsm,bondage,kinky,slave|331|https://ei1.t8cdn.com/201212/20/7578911 ... gaaaa).jpg

I import it like this:
URL|Category|Title|Tags|Duration|Thumb

However some sponsors don't provide the 'Duration' info to import.
The question is:
Is there any feature in SmartCJ to parse the video length?
Is there any way to setup 'Duration' in such cases automatically?

Yes, but only if you import rul to VIDEO file, not to a random gallery

Is there any way to setup 'Duration' in such cases automatically?

what exactly should be done automatically?

Yes, I do import URLs to video files. Specific video files (not random ones).
How can I setup duration for my videos?

The script detects duration for video files, you gave a gallery url as an example
Don't forget to run script update
