Setting cache_time in common.php doesn't seem to remove OLD cache files from server?

Looks like admin deleted cache older than 12 hrs from server yesterday, and this is why not every gallery url is updated. Taking care of this now.

Another question: if I update Gallery URL via admin and not manually, will cache update when expired to new URL? Or would i have same issue i have now?

It was in scj/cache as you say -- but admin set up symlink so cache went to another directory (on SSD) so i didnt see it on my FTP in www/ directory.

yes, longer cache time = less mysql load.

Admin want put bit of code in common.php to set expirery -- so ...

it wasnt where you said it would be - the admins that setup install are taking care of it.

Please, can you answer question about expiring cache? 24 hrs? or longer would be better for server performance? I wont be doing manual updates to thumb DB again.

hi, i am cleaning out cache.

i notice scj cache doesnt seem to be rotated. i want to add snip of code that will get rid of cache older than X hours/days.

Does 24 hours seem reasonable? Or would longer time be better for SCJ script?

as i understand it, cache cookie only good for me, not rest of visitors to site.

I dont see that folder.

Do you suggest Deleting cache in SPECIALS area? It says never to do this with a site with high traffic.

Because the sites that hosted the galleries/videos moved to a new domain and project.

Is there way to clean out that cache without blowing things up?

If it is just matter of 5-7 days this is fine. If it is matter of never updating, that is problem for me.
